Broad pads carried the stormy grey and striped form through the forest. Crimson nostrils constantly testing the air searching for a scent. Violet optics constantly searched the path ahead. Broad treads carried the creature at steady trot. Trying to be sure the creature didn’t miss any single detail around them. Though the creature was not alone in his search. They had lost Illumination, Ares grandmother. She had disappeared through some strange means and somehow, they had been brought along. Though they were all separated by who knew how far, the creature was determined to help his mate find her grandmother.
Glancing behind him, the creature gazed back at his lovely treasure. She was a bit farther behind. He worried if she were alright. They had after all recently mated, so there was that ever-nagging feeling that he was soon to be a father. The creature paused for a moment waiting for his beloved to catch up. Violet optics watched her approach. He had to admit she was simply radiant. ”My treasure are you sure you’re alright, are you sure you needn’t rest?” The creature questioned softly. He knew the answer, she was stubborn. But he wanted to ask anyway. She knew better than he if there was life stirring within her, but she wouldn’t tell him. Not yet.
”I know you want to find her, but we can rest just for a moment.” The creature urged. He had been much more aware of whether she was tired or hungry as of late. Asking her often to the point of irritating her if she needed anything. He often wondered how she tolerated his overbearing protectiveness.
