A wide yawn left his being as he walked. This had been going on for quite some time now. Him waking up in the middle of the night to wander before finally passing out. He couldn't even remember the last time he had gotten some decent sleep. Then again you could've sworn he was used to it, which he was...partly. Endless nightmare of the same thing. No matter how much he tried to put it from his mind. He couldn't stand the fact that he was here, walking, breathing....living. While his friend was probably long decayed and gone. Large paws came to a stop and he lifted his cranium to look between the tree branches to the ebony sky above that was littered with twinkling stars. He missed her. Someone to talk to. She was the only one to really understand him. His brother understood him too, but they weren't exactly close. Guess you could say Njall had hoped to change that. Or rather, his friend had also told him to as well.
Lengthy banner flicked across the ground before he continued walking. His brother had moved on now, having found a mate, and now expecting their own pups. He was happy. That was all Njall had wanted for him too. Happiness. What point, did Njall have to be in his life now? Nostrils flared slightly as he caught the scent of water and he began to make his way to it. He wasn't expecting much of a river but he found himself captivated by finding that it was a nice hot spring. Carefully, he picked his way across the rocks before walking into a pool and he eventually found himself releasing a content sigh before yawning.
He needed a break anyways. With his lower body submerged, he let his head lay on the edge, soulless sky blue orbs closing. This was what he needed. No thoughts, no nightmares, just bliss. The only feeling he wanted to feel right now.
